Purchasing Specialist-Ammunition & Reloading

About the role

We are seeking a Purchasing Specialist for our Ammunition & Re-loading category. This role involves working with a Merchandising Manager to serve our Customers by purchasing products and building relationships with Suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all Purchase Order management, in alignment with the Merchandising & Company strategies through the life cycle of the purchase order.
• Maintain and manage inventory levels.
• Meet and negotiate with Suppliers to develop opportunities, obtain product or service information and manage delivery schedules.
• Participate in Promotions planning and implementation.
• Aid the Merchandising Manager with analysis and management of Inventory.
• Review Supplier Performance metrics & suggest & implement measures to drive improvement.

Requirements

• 1-3 years’ experience in a position requiring attention to detail, and strong verbal and written communication.
• A bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing or related field is required.
• You are a user of MidwayUSA's core products.
• You have excellent product and technical knowledge.
• You have a positive attitude and a willingness to continuously improve our processes.

• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

• Proficiency in data entry and basic Excel functions.

Annual Salary Range (commensurate with experience): $55,000-$71,500 with annual benchmarking and pay increases to always ensure a competitive salary
