Purchasing Senior Specialist

About the Role

The Purchasing Specialist (EX2) supports Honda's mission by managing activities related to recycling, batteries, cores, forecasting, third-party partnerships, audits, KPI tracking, and project support.

Responsibilities

• Support battery activities including shipping, regulation, and sourcing.
• Assist resource circularity and recycling initiatives.
• Manage core inventory, distribution, and charges.
• Provide forecasting and ordering support for batteries and small cores.
• Engage with third-party providers for goods/services.
• Support audits for dealer system documentation and SOP accuracy.
• Maintain LET flashing and database support with Japan.
• Track KPIs, analyze root causes, and implement countermeasures.
• Lead or support departmental projects and business plans.

Qualifications & Skills

• BA/BS in Business or Supply Chain Management (or equivalent).
• 4-6 years procurement experience (preferably in manufacturing).
• Knowledge of procurement, forecasting (automotive parts preferred), negotiation, planning, communication, and presentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
