About the role

Honda is seeking a Service Part Delivery Specialist to manage part delivery through effective planning, communication, and supplier interface. This role involves managing low to moderate projects and handling moderate supplier accounts. The ideal candidate should possess technical problem-solving skills to prevent operational impacts and support departmental targets.

Responsibilities

• Supplier On-Time Delivery Management, DTR’s, Components: Ensure high parts availability with minimal past due deliveries. Collaborate with other departments for development or improvement of characteristics to reduce supplier impact.
• Support reporting and Gemba activity for root cause analysis / countermeasure implementation to solve complex problems with suppliers and improve delivery performance.
• Manage within Department closure speed and effectiveness guidelines.
• Backorder Prevention/Resolution: Identify, evaluate, and establish mitigation plans for supplier critical issues to ensure no impact to customers.
• New Model Parts Availability: Support identification, evaluation, and establishment of mitigation plans for supplier critical issues to ensure no impact to new model launches.
• Strive for continuous improvement through PDCA for area of responsibility (Delivery and/or Special projects) to ensure associate success.

Qualifications, Experience, And Skills

• Minimum Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or equivalent related experience.
• Minimum Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience.
