Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Inventory Control Coordinator to create, issue, and maintain Purchase Orders.
- Monitor open Purchase Orders, vendor confirmations, lead times, and due dates.
- Follow up with vendors on order status, production schedules, shipment readiness, and expedite urgent or delayed orders.
- Coordinate shipments with vendors, carriers, brokers, and shippers; track deliveries and resolve transportation, customs, or documentation issues.
- Prepare and validate receiving documentation, including Goods Received Notes (GRNs), purchase orders, packing lists, and invoices.
- Review freight and shipping invoices, allocate charges, and process franchisee re-billing when required.
- Prepare and maintain procurement reports, including Open PO and expediting reports, while supporting data entry and recordkeeping.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform other procurement and logistics duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 4+ years of purchasing/procurement experience.
- Knowledge of import/export regulations, documentation requirements, compliance standards, duties, tariffs, freight costs, and international logistics.
- Experience in supply chain, purchasing, transportation, logistics, or distribution.
- Franchise distribution experience considered an asset.
- Procurement/purchasing/distribution ERP systems experience.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational, time management, communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize, work independently, manage high-volume workloads, collaborate across teams, and maintain exceptional attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
