About the role
The Administrative Support Coordinator I provides administrative and operational support for purchase order and invoice processing, customer service functions, and general office coordination. The incumbent performs a full range of clerical and administrative support duties requiring knowledge of university procedures, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate multiple workflows in a high-volume environment.
Responsibilities

- Reviews invoicing and work order data to make accurate determinations.
- Communicates clearly orally, in writing, and in presenting standard information.
- Works effectively with faculty, students, and staff from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socio-economic backgrounds.
- Handles complex projects utilizing organizational skills to independently plan, prioritize, and coordinate and support a team-based work environment.
- Drafts and composes documents, reports, and correspondence.
- Serves as a resource to staff and the community in responding to inquiries and providing detailed information.
Requirements
- Equivalent to the completion of a high school program or technical/vocational program.
- Three years of progressively responsible general office administrative experience.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of standard office methods, procedures, and practices, including principles of customer service.
- Thorough knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
- Demonstrated competence in understanding, interpreting, and communicating procedures, policies, information, ideas, and instructions.
- Working knowledge of purchasing practices and procedures.
- Office systems and the ability to use a broad range of technology and systems (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Apps).
- Interpret and apply policies and procedures and use judgment and discretion to act when precedents do not exist.
- Review invoicing and work order data to make accurate determinations.
- Clearly communicate orally, in writing, and in presenting standard information.
- Interpersonal skills to work effectively with faculty, students, and staff from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socio-economic backgrounds.
- Perform standard arithmetic functions of a transactional nature, including tracking and comparing data.
- Create and maintain program files and records and provide data for review in developing and implementing strategies and activities.
- Demonstrate ability to handle complex projects utilizing organizational skills to independently plan, prioritize, and coordinate and support a team-based work environment.
- Draft and compose documents, reports, and correspondence.
- Serve as a resource to staff and the community in responding to inquiries and providing detailed information.

Benefits

Pay
Average anticipated hiring salary: $4,047 per month
Schedule
This is a full-time (equivalent to 40 hours per week), probationary, non-exempt position.

This will require the filing of a Statement of Economic Interest on an annual basis and the completion of training within six (6) months of assuming office and every two (2) years thereafter.
