Your ability to research product requirements, negotiate competitive pricing, and maintain accurate inventory records helps ensure that every department has the materials and supplies needed to operate efficiently. Through strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy and timeliness, you help uphold smooth purchasing operations and contribute to the overall productivity and financial performance of the property.
Responsibilities
- Negotiate with vendors to find a quality product at competitive prices and adequate delivery time.
- Cook up the purchase order and bid solicitation process.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of the warehouse.
- Meet with departmental directors and managers as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills
- Ability to analyze and interpret departmental needs and results.
- Knowledge of OSHA storage regulations and hazardous chemical labeling and other applicable OSHA requirements.
- Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressures.
- Knowledge of gaming and alcohol beverage control laws and regulations.
- Broad variety of tasks and deadlines requires an irregular work schedule.
- Ability to perform assigned duties in an interruptive environment.
- Knowledge of Excel and ability to analyze data.
- Experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems.
Qualifications
- Minimum one (1) years of Purchasing, Inventory or Finance experience utilizing an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) platform.
- Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with all aspects of purchasing, inventory control, warehouse teams, operations, and finance teams.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently to support an efficient and productive work environment.
- Develop and implement processes that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall productivity.
- Cook up closely with leadership to ensure projects are assigned clear, realistic deadlines and are delivered on time.
- Prioritize projects strategically based on business impact and urgency to ensure critical initiatives are completed first.
- Maintain forms to be used by the department and work with leadership to update as needed and ensure any changes are implemented.
- Experience with Excel and Microsoft Programs.
Physical Requirements
- This position is an on-property position.
- Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time as required by the job (office work and training classroom style or via teams).
