Supplier Management

Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery capabilities.

Negotiation & Contracting

Negotiate contracts, prices, and terms to secure the best value, including managing purchase orders.

Strategic Sourcing

Develop sourcing strategies to reduce costs and optimize the supply chain.

Market Analysis

Monitor market trends, commodity pricing, and industry developments to inform purchasing decisions.

Performance Monitoring

Track supplier performance using KPIs to ensure compliance with quality and delivery standards.

Inventory & Data Management

• Maintain records of items, costs, and deliveries;
• Manage catalog content and inventory levels;
• Review attrition rates and current trends to head off problems;
• Work with Engineering/Production/Program Management for accurate data and understanding.

Program Management/Production Department Oversight

• Ensure understanding and commitment from suppliers to secure products needed to support ATC;
• Utilize ATC Tools to maintain correct quantities of inventory to support daily production and program launch materials.

Supplier Performance Improvement

• Work with suppliers to improve performance;
• Quality and on-time delivery;
• Develop/Maintain listing of “At Risk” parts and suppliers.

Policies & Procedures

• Adhere to policies, procedures, and instructions of the quality management systems.

Qualifications

• Education: A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, finance, or a related field.
• Skills: Strong negotiation skills, analytical abilities, strategic thinking, and proficiency in ERP or procurement software.
• Experience: Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain roles.
• Experience in remanufacturing preferred.
• Experience with Automotive purchasing/sourcing preferred.
• Computer proficiency.
• Effective communication with all position levels.
• Project management experience.

Reasoning Abilities

• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
