Purchasing 1 Position Overview

Aid in acquiring materials, supplies, and services at the best possible terms for Qarbon Aerospace. Engage in vendor qualification, bid evaluation, and negotiation of pricing and terms for purchased goods and services. Track purchases, monitor vendor performance focusing on schedule and quality, and maintain a database.

Principal Accountabilities

• Compile and analyze statistical data to assess product purchasing feasibility and set price objectives.
• Maintain oversight of supplier performance, including monitoring and evaluating areas of opportunity for material acquisition.
• Stay updated on price trends and manufacturing processes, identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Evaluate suppliers' operations to determine factors affecting prices and select or recommend the lowest-cost options meeting quality, reliability, and schedule requirements.
• Review proposals, negotiate prices, and follow up on orders, ensuring timely delivery and approval of payments while maintaining accurate records.
• Prepare Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and bid packages as needed.

Experience and Education Requisites

• Must be a US Citizen or Permanent resident per ITAR guidelines.
• This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship or employment of foreign persons per ITAR.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education.
• 0-2 years of related experience.
