Key Responsibilities

• Cook up as needed with Supply Chain leadership, Engineering and Operations to understand product or service requirements, materials needed, budget allowances, schedule, and other decision factors.
• Research, identify and evaluate potential vendors/suppliers as assigned.
• Confer with vendors/suppliers to quote, negotiate contracts and obtain product or service information such as price, availability and delivery schedule.
• Afford assistance in analyzing quotations; negotiating prices and terms with vendors/suppliers; and recommending vendors/suppliers with respect to cost, quality, and delivery competitiveness.
• Initiate POs and amendments for parts, services, and/or specialized tools/parts; arrange for submission and inspection of sample tools/products as assigned; coordinate closely with Engineering to ensure timely execution of sourcing activities.
• Assist with managing inventory levels and turns.
• Participate in JIT/Kanban programs with suppliers as requested.
• Maintain and communicate forecasts to suppliers, study market prices and trends, and inform management as appropriate.
• Participate in supplier development projects and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in procurement or supply chain management.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Basic understanding of ITAR and other US government security regulations.

Pay

The pay range for this role is $25.28 - $29.74. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, and other candidate qualifications.

Schedule

This role supports our Bemidji, MN facility and follows a hybrid work arrangement. Candidates may be based at any of our Minnesota locations, including Bemidji, Milaca, Mankato, or Maple Grove.
