Responsibilities
- Assist the inventory and procurement department
- Manage the open purchase order report with a heavy focus on expediting
- Resolve pricing discrepancies and other issues as needed
- Maintain stock outs and make recommendations for changes in stocking levels
- Communicate with the field on purchase order issues, extended lead times, and critical customer requirements
- Monitor supplier performance and respond to the daily needs of customers
- Aid with projects as desired
Qualifications
- 3-5 years experience in purchasing
- QuickBooks experience
- Purchasing experience
- General Industrial Supply and product experience
- Computer literate, preferably with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work closely with others in a team environment, good interpersonal skills
- Adaptable to change; must be willing to make necessary adjustments to meet department workload and deadlines
