Careerscape is supporting a client opening for a Hybrid Entry-Level Purchasing Assistant. This role focuses on supporting procurement operations, processing purchase orders, communicating with vendors, maintaining purchasing records, and helping ensure the timely delivery of goods and services. Compensation

The salary range for this role is $55,000 - $90,000 per year, based on experience, communication skills, organizational abilities, and client hiring needs. Additional compensation and benefits details will be shared during the hiring process.

What you’ll do

  • Aid in creating and processing purchase orders
  • Communicate with vendors regarding orders and deliveries
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation
  • Track purchase order status and delivery timelines
  • Support inventory and supply level monitoring
  • Update procurement databases and internal systems
  • Compare vendor pricing and prepare purchasing reports
  • Cook up with warehouse and operations teams
  • Resolve order discrepancies with vendors
  • Prepare spreadsheets and procurement documentation
  • Support procurement projects and administrative tasks
  • Perform additional purchasing and operational duties as assigned

We’re looking for

  • A high school diploma or equivalent required
  • An associate's or bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field preferred
  • 0–2 years of experience in administration, purchasing, customer service, retail, or related roles
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • A high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace, and purchasing software is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment
  • Strong problem-solving and time management skills
  • A professional, dependable, and team-oriented mindset

Nice to have

  • Internship or entry-level procurement experience
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite
  • Knowledge of purchasing and inventory management processes
  • Experience working with vendors or suppliers
  • Interest in procurement and supply chain operations
