This role is based in Palo Alto, CA in a hybrid capacity. You will be part of a procurement team that manages suppliers on Government and Commercial programs and supports proposal submittals to customers.
Responsibilities
- Process non-disclosure agreements for signature by suppliers.
- Conduct market research to identify sources of supply for subsystems, components, and/or services.
- Review competitive proposals for subsystems and services offered by suppliers and prepare comparative analyses of factors such as cost, delivery schedule, quality, and past performance.
- Support the negotiation of subcontract requirements, prices, and terms and conditions.
- Issue subcontracts and purchase orders to suppliers.
- Maintain procurement history records on all transactions.
- Extensively interact with multiple functions including engineering, operations, quality, finance, accounting, and management to achieve procurement objectives.
- Manage suppliers and expedite supplier deliverables. Resolve supplier problems as they arise.
- Ensure that procurement actions and file documents support maintaining a Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) approved Purchasing System.
- Maintain supplier delivery status in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System.
- Ensure compliance with all contractual, regulatory and audit requirements, including Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS), NASA FAR Supplement (NFS), and contract terms and conditions.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
- Minimum of 2 years of related work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain, economics, or a related field. Four additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
Skills
- Aerospace industry experience.
- Experience at a Government contractor or subcontractor.
- Strong, fluent, and effective communication skills both written and verbal in English.
Pay
The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions.
- Colorado: $61,000.00 - $101,000.00 annually
- New Jersey: $61,000.00 - $101,000.00 annually
- Delaware: $61,000.00 - $101,000.00 annually
- Washington, DC metropolitan area: $67,000.00 - $111,000.00 annually
- California: $70,000.00 - $116,000.00 annually
- All other states: Geographic cost of labor will be used to develop market-driven ranges.
