Key Responsibilities
- Create and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies.
- Monitor order status and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
- Obtain and compare supplier quotes for products and services.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, contracts, and supplier information.
- Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, lead times, and order discrepancies.
- Collaborate with inventory, production, and operations teams to support material requirements.
- Aid in identifying cost-saving opportunities and alternative sourcing options.
- Resolve issues related to shipments, invoicing, and product quality.
- Track purchasing metrics and prepare reports as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company purchasing procedures and ethical sourcing standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field highly preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred
- Internship, co-op, or previous administrative/customer service experience.
- Familiarity with ERP or purchasing systems.
- Basic understanding of supply chain, procurement, or inventory management concepts.
