Role and Responsibilities
- Cook up real estate purchase closings.
- Keep clients, lenders, real estate agents, brokers, and others on the straight and narrow.
- Handle pre-closing, closing, and post-closing tasks.
- Prepare, review, and approve settlement statements and closing documents.
- Coordinate signing of closing documents as needed.
- Approve disbursements according to instructions and laws.
- Ensure compliance with contracts, settlement statements, closing disclosures, mortgages, deeds, and title policies.
- Collaborate with the post-closing team to record necessary documents and issue policies.
- Obtain conveyance needs and curative documents to clear files for closing.
- Work closely with various stakeholders including back office operations teams, offshore support teams, clients, title agents, lenders, Realtors, buyers, and sellers.
- Perform other duties as directed by supervisors.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Three or more years of experience working in a title or closing company is preferred.
- Works under general supervision.
- Strong customer service and communication skills are required.
- National purchase closing experience is preferable.
- Experience using ResWare or similar closing software is preferred.

Physical Demands
- The role is mostly sedentary and involves sitting for extended periods.
- The employee must communicate orally and use hands and fingers to type, handle, and reach.
- The ability to operate office machinery such as computers, phones, copiers, and printers is necessary.
- The employee must have close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
