Pulmonary Technologist
About the role
Performs pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas analysis on adult, pediatric and neonatal patients utilizing patient cooperation and diagnostic equipment.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient and ordered diagnostic services to ensure adequate ability of patient to be tested
- Ensure that all quality standards have been performed and are acceptable prior to patient testing
- Prepare reports in an accurate and timely manner
- Perform normal equipment maintenance procedures and maintain laboratory area as a clean and safe environment, disinfecting and/or sterilizing all equipment prior to patient interface
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate in Science Degree, Respiratory Care
- Two to three years experience in respiratory care
- Certified respiratory technician or certified pulmonary technologist
