About the role

A clinical technologist supporting patients with respiratory conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients with pulmonary diagnoses such as COPD and asthma.
  • Develop and implement education and care plans, including smoking cessation, medication use, oxygen therapy, and pulmonary rehabilitation.
  • Assist with discharge planning and provide patient education tailored to individual needs.
  • Perform follow-up calls and track clinical data to improve outcomes.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care transition and support patient self-management.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Respiratory Care.
  • Massachusetts licensure and RRT certification.
  • BLS certification.
  • Pulmonary disease educator certification (or obtain within six months).
  • At least three years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree and five years of experience.

Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of cardiopulmonary physiology and respiratory science.
  • Effective communication and patient assessment.
  • Treatment planning and ability to perform under stress.
  • Ability to walk, stand, transport equipment, and operate respiratory devices.
  • Manual dexterity and visual acuity.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
