About the role

This faculty position offers the unique opportunity to devote 50% of your clinical effort to lung transplant care, working within one of the most comprehensive and collaborative transplant centers in the nation.

Responsibilities

  • Become part of a highly skilled lung transplant team, providing patients with seamless care from pre-evaluation and surgery through long-term follow-up.
  • Work within one of the most comprehensive and collaborative transplant centers in the nation, performing all solid organ transplants under one roof.
  • Shape patient care, education, research, and innovation in pulmonary medicine for the region.
  • Teach in fully accredited pulmonary/critical care and sleep medicine fellowships with active teaching opportunities.
  • Enjoy a collegial, collaborative environment committed to personal and professional development.
  • Qualify for loan forgiveness through the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.

Requirements

  • MD/DO (or equivalent degree)
  • Board certified/eligible in pulmonary and critical care medicine
  • Additional fellowship training in lung transplant pulmonary medicine

Qualifications

  • Genuine interest in lung transplantation
  • Interest in teaching
  • Passion to help patients and their families deal with serious life-threatening illness
