About the role
This faculty position offers the unique opportunity to devote 50% of your clinical effort to lung transplant care, working within one of the most comprehensive and collaborative transplant centers in the nation.
Responsibilities
- Become part of a highly skilled lung transplant team, providing patients with seamless care from pre-evaluation and surgery through long-term follow-up.
- Work within one of the most comprehensive and collaborative transplant centers in the nation, performing all solid organ transplants under one roof.
- Shape patient care, education, research, and innovation in pulmonary medicine for the region.
- Teach in fully accredited pulmonary/critical care and sleep medicine fellowships with active teaching opportunities.
- Enjoy a collegial, collaborative environment committed to personal and professional development.
- Qualify for loan forgiveness through the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.
Requirements
- MD/DO (or equivalent degree)
- Board certified/eligible in pulmonary and critical care medicine
- Additional fellowship training in lung transplant pulmonary medicine
Qualifications
- Genuine interest in lung transplantation
- Interest in teaching
- Passion to help patients and their families deal with serious life-threatening illness
