Publications Development Specialist - Roseau, MN
About the role
This role supports the development, maintenance, and publication of electronic parts catalogs for Polaris products and service operations. It involves creating accurate and user-friendly parts book content, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to product support and service readiness.
Responsibilities
- Research, validate, enhance, and create information required to develop accurate, timely, and user-friendly electronic parts catalogs.
- Develop, maintain, and revise detailed parts and assembly illustrations using publishing and visualization tools.
- Review engineering changes and assess impacts to service parts, drawings, and electronic parts catalog content using Windchill and related systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including project teams, service engineering, marketing, and parts personnel, to resolve parts and BOM-related issues.
- Support service parts readiness activities by providing early product and parts information for new service parts setup.
- Provide guidance on parts catalog organization and grouping to support publication accuracy and usability.
- Serve as a resource for resolving dealer, consumer, and internal questions related to parts information and historical parts data.
- Represent the Publications team on cross-functional projects and initiatives.
- Apply publication best practices to ensure high levels of quality, accuracy, and consistency across deliverables.
- Participate in Lean and continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, speed, quality, and process effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- Experience developing, maintaining, or supporting technical publications, parts catalogs, product documentation, or related content.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across functions.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to shared objectives.
- Experience with or the ability to learn systems and tools including Microsoft Office, AS400, BOM-related applications, Arbortext, Adobe Illustrator, Windchill, and Creo Illustrate.
- Working experience or working knowledge of Creo, Windchill, or other CAD modeling software preferred.
- Basic understanding of 3D visualization software, publishing software, or similar tools preferred.

Pay
The starting pay range for Minnesota is $61,000 to $81,000 per year. Individual salaries and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
