Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy equipment --- dump trucks, graders, loaders, snowplows.
  • Maintain and repair streets, curbs, and drainage systems.
  • Auxiliary with water line and meter installation, repair, and maintenance.
  • Maintain sewer collection systems and repair line breaks or blockages.
  • Help maintain Town facilities, vehicles, trails, and parks.
  • Follow Town safety procedures and participate in on-call rotation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Able to lift 50--75 lbs and handle heavy physical labor.
  • Willing to work on-call and 24-hour standby as needed.
  • Licensing (can obtain after hire): Commercial Class A CDL within 6 months.
  • Utah Level 1 Water Distribution & Level 1 Wastewater Collection Certifications within 1 year.
  • Flagger Certification within 6 months.
  • Preferred / Advanced Candidates: Hold a Class A CDL and/or Utah Drinking Water and Wastewater Certifications (Level II or higher).

  • Hands-on, dependable, and outdoors-minded.
  • Takes pride in keeping infrastructure safe and reliable.
  • Enjoy working with a small team.
  • Don't mind a little snow (or a lot).

Pay and Schedule

Experience

  • Heavy equipment operation: 1 year (Preferred)

Licenses/Certifications

  • Driver's License (Required)
  • CDL A (Preferred)
  • Wastewater Operator Certification (Preferred)
  • Water Operator Certification (Preferred)

Commute to Brian Head, UT 84719 (Required)
