About the role

The City of Plano’s Public Works Department seeks skilled and dependable Public Works Crew Leaders to join their Utility Operations team. These positions lead daily maintenance and repair work on the City's water distribution and wastewater collection systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily guidance to field staff
• Ensure safe work-site practices
• Operate a variety of equipment to complete essential maintenance and repair work
• Train and guide team members in the field

Requirements

• Hands-on experience in utility construction or maintenance
• A commitment to safety
• Strong leadership skills

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass a background check

Pay

Hourly salary range: $26.472811 - $39.709217

Schedule

Choose between a four-day, 10-hour workweek (6:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.) or a traditional five-day, 8-hour schedule (6:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.).
