What You’ll Need To Apply

• Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., certificate of high school equivalency).
• Required Experience: Five (5) years of relevant, job-related work experience.
• Required Certification/License/Registry:
  • Successful completion of the Field Training Officer (FTO) Program (provided by the Supervisor/Security).
  • Certified Healthcare Security Officer (CHSO) credential from the International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS).
  • Blue Card certification from the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI).
  • American Red Cross (ARC) first aid certification.
  • TASER certification from a certified instructor.
  • Handcuff certification from a certified instructor.

How You'll Make An Impact

• Patrols and surveils hospital campus; provides unarmed security.
• Responds to emergencies and drills (e.g., infant/child abductions (“code pinks”), fires (“code reds”), disasters (“code greens”) and violent/security events (“code greys”)).
• Investigates thefts, burglaries, automobile collisions, and other violations.
• Delivers medication and emergency shipments.
• Assists staff members with patients.
• Completes required training.
• Performs miscellaneous duties not expressly described herein.
