About the role

Provide fire, safety, and security protection for Mercy’s coworkers, patients, and visitors. Promotes and practices fire and safety prevention. Performs all duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with Mercy’s Mission, Values, and Service Standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Valid state driver’s license
  • Valid local, state, or federal Public Safety/Security licensure as required (must be obtained within 90 days of hire)
  • Complete Basic 16-hour Public Safety/Security course within 180 days of hire (may be done as part of licensure)
  • Ability to read and write English

Preferred Qualifications

  • College degree
  • Previous security, military, or law enforcement experience
