Responsibilities

• Provide fire, safety, and security protection for coworkers, patients, and visitors.
• Promote and practice fire and safety prevention.
• Perform duties consistent with Mercy's Mission, Values, and Service Standards.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Valid State driver's license.
• Valid local, state, or federal Public Safety/Security licensure (to be obtained within 90 days of hire).
• Complete a Basic 16‑hour Public Safety/Security course within 90 days of hire (may be satisfied as part of licensure).
• In areas without a licensing body, completion of IAHSS Basic training.
