About the Role
Provide fire, safety, and security protection for Mercy’s coworkers, patients, and visitors. Promotes and practices fire and safety prevention. Performs all duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with Mercy’s Mission, Values, and Service Standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide fire, safety, and security protection for coworkers, patients, and visitors.
- Promote and practice fire and safety prevention.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 18 years of age or older.
- Valid state driver’s license.
- Valid local, state, or federal Public Safety/Security licensure as required (within 90 days of hire).
- Complete Basic 16-hour Public Safety/Security course within 180 days of hire (may be done as part of licensure).
- Ability to read and write English.
Preferred Qualifications
- College degree.
- Previous security, military, or law enforcement experience.
