Public Safety Officer - Full Time

About the role

Provide fire, safety, and security protection for Mercy's coworkers, patients, and visitors. Promotes and practices fire and safety prevention. Performs all duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our Mission, Values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide fire, safety, and security protection for coworkers, patients, and visitors
• Promote and practice fire and safety prevention
• Perform duties consistent with Mercy's Mission, Values, and Service Standards

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 18 years of age or older
• Valid State driver's license
• Valid local, state or federal Public Safety/Security licensure as required (within 90 days of hire)
• Complete Basic 16hr Public Safety/Security course within 90 days of hire (may be done as part of licensure); Officers in areas without a licensing body must complete IAHSS Basic
• Ability to read and write English
