Public Safety Intelligence Analyst (2 Positions)

About the Role

As a Public Safety Intelligence Analyst, you will formulate and implement plans, policies, and procedures in response to time-sensitive threat information at the local, state, and national levels to assess local implications. You will disseminate critical information to law enforcement, homeland security partners, and other public safety entities, and gather locally generated intelligence on emerging threats.

Responsibilities

• Disseminate time-sensitive and emerging threat information to all law enforcement, homeland security partners, and related public safety entities.
• Gather locally generated information based on time-sensitive and emerging threats.
• Independently review and analyze problems related to sophisticated criminal and/or complex terrorism-related activity from agency personnel and other intelligence units.
• Identify and analyze informational databases, maps, spreadsheets, reports, and other data sources.

Requirements

Minimum qualifications (choose one option):

• Option 1: 36 months of experience conducting research and writing reports using operational, mathematical, analytical, and/or statistical research techniques.
• Option 2: Completion of an undergraduate core program in homeland security, political science, criminal justice, emergency management, public health, international affairs, or a related field; AND 12 months of experience conducting research and writing reports using operational, mathematical, analytical, and/or statistical research techniques.

Equivalent combinations of education and experience may also meet qualifications.
