About the role
Work at the Main Entrance, operate dispatch, and greet visitors. Entry and intermediate level positions.
Responsibilities
- Receive, dispatch, and log radio traffic on multiple radio frequencies
- Receive, dispatch, and log emergency and non-emergency phone calls at the Main Entrance
- Monitor fire and security alarms and cameras, dispatch, and log all alarms received
- Greet visitors to the campus, answer questions, and provide directions
- Follow established assignment schedule, ensure field officers are informed, and log all assignments completed
- Must occasionally lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
- May obtain CPR/First Aid certification
Requirements
- Able to work assigned shifts, which may include day, evening, night, weekend, or holiday shift hours
- High school graduate or GED
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, and web-based applications
- Speedy and accurate keyboarding skills
- Communication and customer service skills; proficient in phone etiquette
- Multi-tasking skills under pressure while maintaining a professional and calm appearance
- A born-again Christian with a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
- Agree with and affirm the Bob Jones University creed, mission, and core biblical doctrines
- Maintain a conservative lifestyle and support Bob Jones University’s positions on issues such as beverage alcohol, addictive substances, creation, marriage, human sexuality, and the sanctity of life (positions statement)
- Active member of a local Bible-believing church with orthodox theology
