Public Relations & Marketing Assistant

About the role

Tyndale is looking for an energetic and creative Public Relations & Marketing Assistant to support our team in a fast-paced environment across multiple departments. This role serves as the administrative lead for ongoing tasks and short-term projects, supporting our books, promotions, and authors.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and administrative assistance to the PR team, including coordinating eblasts, writing press releases and other media materials, tracking media hits, handling mailings, conducting media research, and coordinating social media efforts.
• Coordinate seasonal marketing operations and promotions, such as sale-season spreadsheets and monthly eBook promotions for the marketing team.
• Complete mailings and distribution of ARCs (advance reader copies), finished books, and promotional items.
• Maintain accurate title data in the department's publishing database.
• Provide general administrative support, including processing invoices, managing subscriptions, and coordinating projects as needed.

Requirements

• College degree and 1+ years of experience in Administration, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
• Excellent writing, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organizational, coordination, and project management skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel spreadsheets, and budget tracking; Canva experience is a plus.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and troubleshoot while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor.
• Self-starter with a collaborative spirit and a servant’s attitude.
• Personal alignment with and adherence to the Bible as God’s Word, and agreement with our Statement of Faith.

Skills

• Written Spanish language proficiency is a plus but not required.
• Technology-savvy with a knack for organization and a positive attitude.

Pay

The hiring range for this position is $21 to $25 hourly. Actual offers will consider the candidate’s education, experience, industry knowledge, technical skills, and other relevant factors.

This is an in-house, full-time position located at Tyndale House in Carol Stream, IL.
