Public Relations and Online Reputation Manager

About the role

Our space is getting crowded, and we want homeowners to find accurate, credible information about who we are and what we do. We're hiring a Public Relations and Online Reputation Manager to build and protect our reputation online and in the press.

Responsibilities

• Own our online reputation across review sites (Google, Trustpilot, BBB), Reddit, forums and social. Monitor what's said, respond where it helps, and build a steady flow of genuine reviews from real clients.
• Catch misinformation and impersonators early and handle them through the proper channels.
• Earn coverage in online and traditional media by pitching stories, building journalist relationships and preparing our team for interviews.
• Report monthly on sentiment, review volume and ratings, and coverage won.

Requirements

• Hands-on online reputation management. You know how review platforms and Reddit actually work.
• Media relations experience, or a clear plan for how you'd earn coverage.

Skills

• Excellent written English, you'll write responses and pitches in our voice.
• Honest tactics only. No fake reviews, no astroturfing.
• Individuals only, not agencies or firms.

Pay

$35 per hour.

Schedule

Remote, long term, 20 to 40 hours per week.
