Public Health Nursing Supervisor II (Posting #611045-2887)

Halifax County is seeking a Public Health Nursing Supervisor II to oversee clinical services and programs including Family Planning, Child Health, Post Partum Home Visiting, and Laboratory.

About the role

The essential functions of this position include supervising clinical services and programs, coordinating work with other divisions and agencies, planning and evaluating staff activities, developing and revising policies and procedures, preparing reports, and maintaining records and files.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Master’s in Nursing and three years of Public Health nursing experience (including one year of supervisory experience); OR
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (including a Public Health Nursing rotation) and four years of Public Health nursing experience (including one year of supervisory experience); OR
• Master’s in Public Health, graduation from a school of professional nursing, and three years of Public Health Nursing experience (including one year of supervisory experience); OR
• Graduation from a school of professional nursing and five years of professional nursing experience, four of which must be in Public Health (including one year of supervisory experience); OR
• An equivalent combination of education and experience
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina
• Valid North Carolina driver’s license

Pay

The hiring range for this position is $70,903–$115,098.
