About the Role
The essential functions of this position include supervising clinical services and programs such as Family Planning, Child Health, Post Partum Home Visiting, and Laboratory. Knowledge of programs and contract addenda is required. Responsibilities involve coordinating work with other divisions and agencies, planning and evaluating staff activities, developing and revising policies and procedures, preparing reports, and maintaining records and files.
Requirements
Candidates must meet one of the following qualifications:
- Master’s in Nursing and three years of Public Health nursing experience (including one year of supervisory experience);
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (with a Public Health Nursing rotation) and four years of Public Health nursing experience (including one year of supervisory experience);
- Master’s in Public Health, graduation from a school of professional nursing, and three years of Public Health Nursing experience (including one year of supervisory experience);
- Graduation from a school of professional nursing and five years of professional nursing experience, four of which must be in Public Health (including one year of supervisory experience);
- An equivalent combination of education and experience.
A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina and a valid North Carolina driver’s license are required. All health department employees (except those with accommodations or medical exemptions) must receive an annual flu shot as a condition of employment.
Pay
The hiring range for this position is $70,903–$115,098.
