Job Responsibilities
This position will be based in Hamilton, GA and will function as a Public Health Nurse/County Nurse Manager in the Harris County Health Department. This is Not a Remote position. You will support the Department by utilizing your expertise to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Plan for client level & population-based nursing services
- Evaluate, compile, and submit data and reports by established deadlines
- Evaluate supplies, equipment and medication needs and ensure adequate levels are maintained
- Monitor clinic activity and modify schedule, as needed
- Cook up peer reviews and protocol signature pages, mock drills, and emergency vaccine storage plans, as needed
- Order and approve requisitions for program supplies and medications / vaccines
- Identify training needs of clinic staff and ensure training is provided
- Identify new community collaborations and/or revenue resources, when applicable
- Participate in the Nurse Manager meetings monthly/quarterly
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of nursing experience and completion of a PHN course within one year of hire and current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license
- CPR certification
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university
- Two (2) years of PHN experience
- Current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license
- CPR certification
