Public Health Nurse
The Public Health Nurse (PHN) functions as an autonomous public health professional responsible for managing complex community-based nursing services and population health initiatives across assigned service areas and vulnerable populations within the CSKT Tribal Health Public Health Division. The PHN provides advanced nursing interventions focused on disease prevention, health promotion, chronic disease management, communicable disease control, care coordination, and reduction of health disparities through independent field-based nursing practice. The PHN independently manages public health nursing services and population health activities for assigned geographic areas, community populations, and high-risk groups within the Flathead Reservation.
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Montana or compact state, required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, required.
- Incident Command System (ICS) 100, 200, and 700 certifications within six (6) months of hire.
- Valid Montana Driver's License, required.
