NATURE OF WORK
Nature of Work:
- Under the active and direct supervision of a licensed fiduciary, provides case management for Wards in assigned caseload.
- Establishes and/or monitors the Ward's place of residence to ensure it is and remains the most appropriate and least restrictive available.
- Safeguards and manages the Ward's personal and financial affairs, ensuring they receive all medical and financial benefits to which they may be entitled.
- Coordinates personal, financial, and social matters of the Ward.
- Maintains thorough case notes and records on all assigned Wards.
- Prepares complex reports as needed, gathers appropriate information for the Public Fiduciary to make informed decisions on behalf of the Ward.
- Remains mindful of the County’s potential liability in all Ward cases.
- Engages in fiduciary professional development opportunities.
- Maintains security and confidentiality of materials and information.
- Adheres to professional fiduciary standards.

Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in social services, behavioral science, psychology, or closely related field from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning recognized by the US Department of Education.
- Two (2) years of professional experience in a community-based social service agency, behavioral health, long-term care, home health, or discharge planning, or a closely related field.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona driver’s license and the ability to be covered by county insurance.
Underfiling Minimum Qualifications
Underfiling Minimum Qualifications:
- An Associate degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning recognized by the US Department of Education with one year remaining to obtain Bachelor's Degree.
- Two (2) years of professional experience in a community-based social service agency, behavioral health, long-term care, home health, or discharge planning, or a closely related field.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona driver’s license and the ability to be covered by county insurance.
Licenses
Licenses:
- Must possess and maintain current Supreme Court Fiduciary License OR must meet all standards for licensure as a fiduciary but for the lack of required experience, according to Arizona Code of Judicial Administration (ACJA) Section 7-202.
- Successful completion of the Fiduciary Licensing and background check by the Arizona Supreme Court will be required after one year of employment, if not already licensed at time of hire.
- Maintaining a valid fiduciary license and passing periodic background checks is required for continued employment.

- Preference may be given to applicants who are bilingual in English and Spanish, in speaking, reading, and writing.
