NATURE OF WORK

Nature of Work:

  • Under the active and direct supervision of a licensed fiduciary, provides case management for Wards in assigned caseload.
  • Establishes and/or monitors the Ward's place of residence to ensure it is and remains the most appropriate and least restrictive available.
  • Safeguards and manages the Ward's personal and financial affairs, ensuring they receive all medical and financial benefits to which they may be entitled.
  • Coordinates personal, financial, and social matters of the Ward.
  • Maintains thorough case notes and records on all assigned Wards.
  • Prepares complex reports as needed, gathers appropriate information for the Public Fiduciary to make informed decisions on behalf of the Ward.
  • Remains mindful of the County’s potential liability in all Ward cases.
  • Engages in fiduciary professional development opportunities.
  • Maintains security and confidentiality of materials and information.
  • Adheres to professional fiduciary standards.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in social services, behavioral science, psychology, or closely related field from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning recognized by the US Department of Education.
  • Two (2) years of professional experience in a community-based social service agency, behavioral health, long-term care, home health, or discharge planning, or a closely related field.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona driver’s license and the ability to be covered by county insurance.

Underfiling Minimum Qualifications

Underfiling Minimum Qualifications:

  • An Associate degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning recognized by the US Department of Education with one year remaining to obtain Bachelor's Degree.
  • Two (2) years of professional experience in a community-based social service agency, behavioral health, long-term care, home health, or discharge planning, or a closely related field.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona driver’s license and the ability to be covered by county insurance.

Licenses

Licenses:

  • Must possess and maintain current Supreme Court Fiduciary License OR must meet all standards for licensure as a fiduciary but for the lack of required experience, according to Arizona Code of Judicial Administration (ACJA) Section 7-202.
  • Successful completion of the Fiduciary Licensing and background check by the Arizona Supreme Court will be required after one year of employment, if not already licensed at time of hire.
  • Maintaining a valid fiduciary license and passing periodic background checks is required for continued employment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Preference may be given to applicants who are bilingual in English and Spanish, in speaking, reading, and writing.
