PTA / Physical Therapy Assistant

Flagstar Rehab is now staffing Physical Therapist Assistants for the Rehab Department in state-of-the-art skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) throughout NYC and surrounding areas. PTAs work with a diverse and multi-disciplinary team to perform treatments and patient/family education to improve the physicality and cognition of their patients and positively impact their ability to function in their daily lives. Flagstar Rehab offers the opportunity for direct employment with our agency or to be your own boss as an Independent Contractor, and can assist with setting up a corporation free-of-charge.

Pay

• $34–$36 hourly (W-2)
• $38–$40 hourly (1099)

Job Duties

• Collaborate daily with the PT Supervisor and follow the established Plan of Care for all patients.
• Provide quality therapy services to individuals in an SNF setting who require care related to TBI, CVA, stroke, Parkinson's, multiple sclerosis, cancer, orthopedic surgery, and other debilitating diagnoses.
• Monitor and document patient progress using innovative EMR software.

Requirements

• Current NYS PTA license and registration
• EMR competence
• Meets all state and federal requirements for US employment in a nursing facility
• Malpractice/liability insurance (if applicable)
