About the role

As a Home Health Aide at Amedisys, you will provide compassionate care to patients in their homes. You will assist with daily living activities, medication management, and help patients maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal hygiene and grooming
• Help patients manage medications and medical equipment
• Encourage patients to engage in physical activity and healthy eating
• Provide companionship and emotional support to patients
• Document patient care activities and report progress to healthcare providers

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Passionate about providing quality home health care

Qualifications

• Experience in caregiving or related field preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Skills

• Excellent customer service skills
• Basic computer literacy
• Knowledge of home safety and emergency response procedures
