PT Safety Support Associate - Hollywood Inn Express South (5689)

About the role

The Safety Support Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of the interim housing site at the Hollywood Inn Express South location. This position requires a proactive approach to maintaining a secure environment and collaborating with various teams to address any safety concerns.

Responsibilities

• Aid in ensuring the overall safety of the interim housing site through observation and de-escalation strategies.
• Coordinate with the onsite case management team to provide support to the interim housing site.
• Collaborate with contracted security agencies to maintain the safety of the interim housing site.
• Conduct regular rounds of the interim housing site and facility grounds, communicating and observing discrepancies or concerns.
• Assist the Associate Director in drafting written documentation and correspondence regarding the safety and security of the site.
• Respond to interim housing security and/or crisis situations using non-violent crisis intervention and verbal de-escalation strategies.
• Assist with the development of forms, procedures, and manuals for the Metro LA Interim Housing.
• Complete reports as necessary or requested.
• Attend meetings and provide input and feedback related to safety and support operations.

Requirements

• One (1) year experience working with vulnerable populations and/or security and/or de-escalation/nonviolent crisis intervention.
• Minimum qualifications include ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification, flexible hours, and employment eligibility verification.
