PT Safety Support Associate - 702 Long Beach (5552)

About the role

We are seeking a Safety Support Associate to join our Interim Housing team at the 702 Hotel location in Long Beach, CA. The ideal candidate will contribute to making a positive impact in the lives of those we serve and will work alongside influential professionals who drive change.

Responsibilities

• Avoid and resolve safety concerns at the Interim Housing site through observation and communication.
• Engage with participants to maintain safety and stability at the site.
• Respond to security and crisis situations using non-violent techniques and verbal de-escalation.
• Support the on-site case management team and coordinate with contracted security agencies.
• Assist with meal distribution, cleaning, and other facility needs as required.
• Complete reports as necessary and attend required training sessions.
• Participate in meetings and events to provide input and feedback on safety and support operations.

Requirements

• One (1) year experience working with vulnerable populations and/or security/de-escalation/nonviolent crisis intervention.
• Minimum qualifications include employment eligibility verification, CPR/First Aid training, tuberculosis test, background screening, and drug test.
