JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The Management and Organization Department in the Smeal College of Business at The Pennsylvania State University is seeking applications for a research assistant. The purpose of the job is to help with faculty research by examining the language in news articles and other organizational related text data. The duties of the job are:
- use natural language or machine learning techniques to help identify the language themes in a variety of organizational-related text data.
- web scrapping and data cleaning/combining skills may also be needed.
- Ideal candidates will have programming experience.
CAMPUS SECURITY CRIME STATISTICS
Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
