Responsibilities

  • Keep Heirloom’s New Orleans pools and hot tubs clean, safe, and usable for our guests.
  • Drive to each pool location, perform routine hygiene services, document, and move to the next location until the caseload is completed.
  • Assist with miscellaneous facilities management tasks as needed.
  • Measure and balance pool chemicals, add acids, chlorine, and other chemicals to correct pH levels for safe water amenity use.
  • Clean the swimming pool using authorized equipment: skimming, vacuuming, scrubbing.
  • Complete paperwork and report service requirements to management using a mobile application.
  • Serve and fix faulty pool cleaning equipment.
  • Evaluate quotes from third-party vendors, actively negotiate rates, and report needed repairs, low-stock items, and facilities maintenance needs.
  • Communicate with and manage third-party vendors to escalate repairs, as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with the local property operations team to complete miscellaneous facilities management tasks.
  • Aid in onboarding new pools as needed: completing intake forms, programming equipment settings, getting pool remotes online, etc.
  • Perform special projects as assigned.
  • Measure, report, and record pool chemistry levels for each visit.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of and working experience with Hayward brand gas heaters and Hayward Control Panels.
  • Valid driver's license, upstanding driving record, reliable transportation to and from the New Orleans market.
  • Mileage reimbursement provided on a weekly basis.
  • Lives in close or commutable proximity to New Orleans, LA.
  • Strongly preferred: CSPA or CSPP certification, significant experience working with saltwater pools, prior experience working on heated saltwater pools.
  • Extensive knowledge of proper pool cleaning and maintenance methods, specifically saltwater pools.
  • Extensive knowledge of swimming pool chemicals and their properties.
  • Ability to comfortably lift 50 lbs independently 1-3 times daily during working hours.

Pay

The Pool Technician is a part-time hourly role based in New Orleans, LA. The work schedule is variable and is based on business needs. We offer two schedule formats:

  • Option 1: 16-20 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
  • Option 2: 8-12 hours per week, Monday through Thursday.
