About the role

The primary purpose of this position is to fill prescriptions, help customers, unpack totes, answer telephone calls, and answer questions within specified limits.

Responsibilities

• Review the work schedule, check equipment, fill supplies, and comply with PPE requirements at the start of each shift.
• Move, open, and unpack totes; place items on appropriate shelves.
• Clean shelving, check inventory levels, and inspect products for expiration dates.
• Assist customers and answer telephone calls, verifying identification when required.
• Complete the prescription‑filling process, including data entry and product dispensing.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S. and meet state minimum‑age requirements.
• Pass a background check and drug screening.
• Ability to read, write, communicate, and understand job duties and company policies.
• Complete a 60‑day introductory (probationary) period.
• Meet ergonomic, physical, and performance standards for the position.
• Ability to use or learn required equipment and tools safely.
• Agree to wear assigned clothing and shoes approved for the job.
• Maintain any required specialty licenses, certificates, or permits.

Preferred Requirements

• Understanding of company policies and procedures as outlined in the employee manual.
• Compliance with all state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations.
• Knowledge of MSDS information for materials used during work.
• Completion of Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space, Right‑to‑Know, HIPAA for Pharmacy Associates, and all additional pharmacy training requirements.

Physical Requirements

• Shift length: minimum 4‑hour shifts, variable based on business needs.
• Continuous work cycle with occasional lifting/carrying up to 50 lb.
• Standing 55 % of the time, walking 45 % of the time; no seated work required.
• Maximum pull static: 20 lb.
• Category IV lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling up to 50 lb.

Schedule

Shifts are a minimum of four hours and may extend longer depending on business needs.
