PT Pharmacy Technician

Cub Mankato West is seeking a dedicated part-time Pharmacy Technician to support prescription processing, record keeping, and stock management. This role ensures maximum product availability and sales while maintaining compliance with Board of Pharmacy regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assists the pharmacist in filling prescriptions
• Accurately processes customers’ orders, ensuring price accuracy and product knowledge
• Handles hazardous drugs safely
• Performs department receiving and stocking duties
• Pulls bottles of drugs for pharmacists to fill prescriptions
• Organizes and cleans the pharmacy workspace
• Maintains compliance with Board of Pharmacy regulations
• Ensures positive customer relations

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Ability to communicate effectively through verbal and written means
• Proficiency in operating office equipment (computer, telephone, fax)
• Ability to work extended hours, including weekends and evenings
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Good judgment, especially when direct supervision is not immediately available
• Ability to read and comprehend written/verbal communication
• Ability to read/view computer screens for extended periods
• Capability to perform close-proximity tasks (e.g., reading fine print)

Physical Requirements

• Lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs
• Walking on uneven ground
• Reaching, bending, and repetitive motions
