PT Licensed Practical Nurse

About the role

Homestead Health Care is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to deliver high-quality care to residents in one of our Flint communities. The LPN will ensure resident well-being and maintain a supportive, nurturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed; communicate with pharmacies.
• Monitor and assess residents' health status, noting any changes and reporting them promptly.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
• Lead resident assistants and med techs in patient assessments, audits, and staff training.
• Supervise and support Caregivers in delivering care.
• Respond to emergencies and provide first aid as needed.

Requirements

• Current and valid LPN license in Michigan.
• Proven experience in a nursing role within a senior living or long-term care environment, with most experience in a management capacity.
• Working knowledge of nursing home regulations and the Nurse Practice Act.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to relate positively to residents, families, employees, and the community.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
