Responsibilities
The Fitness Instructor takes part in servicing our guests around our beautiful Resort. This task is to be handled in a friendly, courteous, timely, and professional manner resulting in an extremely high level of guest satisfaction.
Supervise and instruct clients in meeting their fitness goals. Specific training and certifications in Muscle Activation Training preferred to provide specialized training for members and guests, including consultations and continued wellness plans.
Work with management to create and implement marketing directives to enhance training programs.
Direct all service efforts towards guest satisfaction, the achievement/maintenance of company standards and profit maximization.
Requirements
- Excellent knowledge of human anatomy, exercise physiology, nutrition, resistance training, theory, proper form, and technique
- Able to reach, bend, and stoop for long periods of time
- Able to make quick, accurate decisions
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to supervise effectively
- Good knowledge of both mechanical and functional capabilities of fitness equipment
- Ability to communicate in English
- Self-starting personality with an even disposition
- Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times
- Willing to help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player
- Ability to effectively deal with both internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse and collect accurate information and resolve conflicts
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
