PT FEEDER DISPATCH SUPERVISOR

About the Role

This position assists and reviews UPS Small Package dispatch activity to ensure timely and proficient service. The role involves assisting with dispatch planning and ensuring that service, safety, and cost goals are met. Coordination with others is required to execute dispatch plans efficiently, including maintaining adequate staffing and equipment levels for transportation needs. The position oversees load and tractor planning, monitors load movements, and tracks equipment condition. It also involves reviewing, analyzing, and tracking various dispatch and service reports and schedules, creating efficient dispatch plans, verifying service levels, addressing performance issues, and incorporating modifications such as new customers, new locations, and additional loads into dispatch plans. Additionally, this role oversees yard operations by coordinating drivers with load volume, ensuring trailers are in the correct locations, and confirming accurate trailer inventory.

Responsibilities

• Reviews driver hours to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Conducts hazardous materials audits.
• Reviews safety reports.
• Verifies appropriate driver uniforms and utilization of safe work methods.
• Determines employee training needs to produce continuous development plans.
• Provides feedback and support.
• Conducts performance evaluations and resolves individual and group performance issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or international equivalent (Preferred).
• Ability to lift 70 lbs./32 kgs.
• Availability to work flexible shift hours, up to 5 days per week.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Management experience (Preferred).
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.

Pay

The base pay for this position ranges from $26.25/hr to $42.65/hr. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education/training, and work experience. Hired applicants may also be offered annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs, subject to applicable eligibility requirements.
