PT Driver, Transport
Job Summary
The Transport Driver is responsible for operating automotive equipment to tow and transport vehicles. This role supports operations by relocating vehicles to be brought to or from the lot or auction block.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Drive, operate, and maintain transportation trucks.
- Rig vehicles to be transported using approved procedures.
- Observe instruments while operating the vehicle.
- Make necessary routine repairs as necessary.
- Transport vehicles to and from the lot.
- Record and log trips.
- Report defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damages.
- Clean and maintain work area and associated tools and machinery.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Experience & Education
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- 1+ years of experience operating medium-heavy automotive machinery, including wrecker or tow trucks.
Knowledge & Skills
- A Valid Class Driver’s License with proper endorsements.
- A Valid driver’s license and safe driving record are required.
- A Commitment to providing excellent customer service.
- Proven communication and interaction skills.
- A Demonstrated skill with minor automotive repair or maintenance.
- A Proven ability to operate trucks or machinery.
- Able to work both inside automotive machinery or outside in varying conditions as required.
- Able to operate and manipulate equipment or machinery as necessary to perform role.
- Able to Position self to rig vehicles, which may include stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, bending, standing, and sitting.
- Able to Lift, push, pull, or move items weighing up to 50 lbs. for various needs.
Compensation
$15.00 per hour. Final compensation will be determined based upon the applicant's relevant experience, skillset, location, business needs, market demands, and other factors as permitted by law. No immigration or work visa sponsorship will be provided for this position.
