PT - Assistant Men's Basketball Coach

Summary Of Function

This position will be responsible for assisting the head men’s basketball coach in the areas of recruitment & scouting, coaching, game & practice planning, statistics, and the academic success of student-athletes, as well as the general program administration.

Typical Duties

• Serves Students.
• Affords Students.
• Affords the head coach with organizing practices and game plans.
• Affords the Head Coach with coordinating and scheduling team travel and recruiting activities.
• Affords the Head Coach with financial aid and eligibility matters for student-athletes.
• Supports and participates in strategic initiatives and performs other duties as assigned.
• Supports and participates in strategic planning initiatives and performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• A High School diploma or equivalent.
• An equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved may be considered.

Additional Eligibility Requirements

• Arizona Driver’s License or Equivalent.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability and desire to motivate student-athletes to succeed academically and athletically.
• Ability to work effectively with the head coach, administration, faculty, students, and alumni.
