PT: Assistant Coach -Flag Football Women

Job Summary

The Assistant Women’s Flag Football Coach serves as a key member of the women’s flag football program and assists the Head Coach in all aspects of operating a successful NCAA Division II program.

Responsibilities

  • Aid the Head Coach with daily operations of the women’s flag football program.
  • Conduct individual and group skill development workouts.
  • Aid with practice planning, scouting reports, film breakdown, and game preparation.
  • Support recruiting efforts in accordance with NCAA Division II rules and regulations.
  • Maintain academic success, personal growth, and student-athlete accountability.
  • Afford support for team travel coordination, equipment management, and operational needs.
  • Organize camps, clinics, community outreach events, and fundraising initiatives.
  • Maintain knowledge of and comply with NCAA, conference, and institutional policies and procedures.
  • Represent the university and department positively.

Minimum Job Qualifications

  • Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Previous coaching, playing, or flag football operations experience at the collegiate, high school, or competitive level.
  • Experience: Valid driver’s license with the ability to be approved to operate university-issued vehicles. Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and travel as required. Commitment to student-athlete development, academic achievement, and program culture.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Collegiate coaching or playing experience.
  • Experience with player development and skill instruction.
  • Recruiting experience and knowledge of NCAA Division II regulations.
  • Strength and conditioning experience or background in athletic performance training.

Physical Demands

The work environment is an athletic and office setting which requires the ability to travel much of the time, work long hours including evenings and weekends, be physically active, able to lift up to 50 pounds, and have the ability to demonstrate specific skills. Ability to travel frequently and work flexible hours, including nights and weekends. Ability to demonstrate flag football drills and participate in on-field instruction.
