PT Adjunct Staff- MPAS-AZ Standardized Patient
Position Summary
The Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) AZ program is dedicated to expanding access to PA education through an innovative hybrid model that prepares highly competent, compassionate physician assistants who deliver patient-centered care and advocacy for the health and well-being of the communities they serve.
Essential Functions
- Portray patients in educational simulated encounters with Physician Assistant students.
- Memorize and present medical histories and undergo physical exams.
- Provide feedback to students on their communication skills.
Education and Experience
- No formal education required; experience as a Standardized Patient is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Meet specific patient criteria for the case/activity.
- Memorize information about a patient’s physical condition and history.
- Be on time to attend events and trainings.
- Have reliable transportation to the Goodyear Academic Center.
- Have excellent communication skills and be willing to provide students with constructive feedback.
- Be able to provide feedback in both written and verbal forms.
