G&STC is a group private practice offering competent and knowledgeable psychotherapy for adolescents, adults, partnerships, and families in Midtown and remotely across NY state. We specialize in gender, sexuality, and relationships, providing psychotherapy, supervision, workshops, and consultation.
About the role
We are currently accepting applications on a rolling basis for fee-for-service psychotherapists, with a strong preference for full-time positions (25 completed sessions per week).

- G&STC Onboarding Stipend: $225 (part-time and full-time)
- $45–55 per session, depending on licensure and experience (part-time and full-time)
- Sick pay: 1 hour earned for every 30 hours worked (part-time and full-time)
- Paid time off: 1 hour earned for every 30 hours worked (full-time only)
- Professional Development Reimbursement Stipend: $250/year (full-time only)
- Healthcare Reimbursement Stipend: $200/month (full-time only)
- Internet Reimbursement Stipend: $50/month
- Paid Individual Supervision (at an admin/non-billable rate)

Who we're looking for
This is an excellent opportunity for:
- LMSW/LCSW/MHC-LP/LMHC seeking experience and to advance their clinical skills in a private setting
- LMHC/LCSW interested in working privately but not wanting to independently manage the administrative side of private practice
- LMSW/LCSW/MHC/LMHC interested in working privately but not ready or interested in solo practice
- LMSW/LCSW/MHC/LMHC who want to work in a group practice environment with a community of other clinicians
- LMSW/MHC who want to accrue clinical hours in a private setting
- LMHC/LCSW who want to expand their competence in working with LGBTQ+, kinky, and non-monogamous folks, sex workers, and sexual-related issues such as sexual anxiety, sexual pain, sexual functioning, and sexual compulsive behavior
- Queer, trans, kinky, and/or poly therapists looking to work within their community and develop a professional therapeutic practice under supervision and guidance
- Queer, trans, kinky, and/or poly therapists interested in providing Couples and Relationship Therapy
Requirements
- Possess an LMSW, LCSW, LCSW-R, MHC, or LMHC and be licensed in New York
- Reside in NY or NJ
- Commit to a minimum of 3 years with G&STC
- Education, training, and demonstrated success in implementing modalities such as CBT, IFS, mindfulness treatments, trauma-informed practices, somatic treatments, and psychodynamic psychotherapy
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- At least 1 year of experience in assessment, treatment planning, and providing psychotherapy
- At least 1 year of experience in providing individual, couples, multiple-partner relationships, and/or family therapy
- At least 1 year of experience in providing therapy to LGBTQ+, kinky, and non-monogamous individuals
- At least 1 year of experience in providing therapy for sexual-related issues such as sexual anxiety, sexual functioning, sexual pain, or compulsive sexual behaviors
- High level of competence with gender, sex, and sexuality, with specific expertise in some or all of the following: working with LGBTQ+ folks, alt sexualities, and sexual-related issues such as sexual anxiety, sexual functioning, sexually compulsive behavior, sexual discomfort, and pain
- Organized and able to submit progress notes and respond to emails in a timely manner, in accordance with G&STC policies
Responsibilities
- Conduct phone consultations
- Provide psychotherapy services to a caseload of:
- ~28–30 clients (full-time, considered 25 completed sessions per week), including individuals, couples, partnerships with 3+ people, and families
- ~18 clients (part-time), including individuals, couples, partnerships with 3+ people, and families
- Smaller caseloads of 20–24 may be possible
- Maintain case notes, logs, and all required documentation
- Provide group therapy, as needed
- Blog writing 4x/year (optional)
- Participate in weekly/biweekly individual supervision; weekly group clinical supervision available
- Assist in the creation and implementation of G&STC workshops, training, and seminars, as opportunities arise
- Perform marketing tasks for self and G&STC, as needed/interested
